Hey! I’m Abel, for those just getting to know me, I’ve spent the last eight years as a freelance game developer specializing in technical art. (I’ve done a bunch of other cool stuff).
The past 2+ years have been particularly formative, working exclusively with one client taught me the value of deep collaboration and how to evolve alongside projects from concepts to completion. I refined workflows, developed custom tools, and helped bring unique visual styles to life through code and artistry.
Here’s what I’m looking forward to:
- Exploring new art styles and technical approaches that I haven’t had the chance to dive into recently
- Collaborating with different teams and absorbing their unique creative processes
- Applying lessons learned to new, varied projects
- Contributing to different game genres that will stretch my abilities in new directions
What You’ll Find on This Blog
- Behind-the-scene look at projects I can share
- Technical insights for fellow developers
- Creative processes art dev journeys
- Occasional tutorials and resources
- Whatever other interest I feel like sharing
If you’re working on something interesting, looking for gamedev / technical art support, or just want to exchange ideas about game development, I’d love to hear from you.
